In the detail
What you cannot see
from the photograph.
The parts of a piece that decide whether it is still tight years from now are mostly the parts nobody photographs. Here is what is inside this one.
Fluted legs are turned on the lathe from a single teak billet.
Slat backs are raked five degrees, which is what makes a straight chair comfortable to sit in.
The everyday set: no carving to trap dust, no upholstery on the back.
Three-year structural warranty
Cover on the frame and the joinery, honoured at the showroom that sold it.
Delivered and assembled
On our own trucks, with two people to set the piece up in the room it belongs in.
Built to order
Three to four weeks at the works for anything not already on the showroom floor.
Drawn and made in house
Designed, cut, assembled and finished on our own floor at Gurwalia Vishwas.
