The parts of a piece that decide whether it is still tight years from now are mostly the parts nobody photographs. Here is what is inside this one.
Chair backs are fretwork-carved from solid teak, then finished in an open-pore polish that leaves the grain readable.
The 18 mm marble top is sealed against oil and sits in a felt-lined rebate rather than on glue.
Six chairs as standard. Two more can be carved into the same batch if they are ordered together.

Cover on the frame and the joinery, honoured at the showroom that sold it.
Delivered and assembled
On our own trucks, with two people to set the piece up in the room it belongs in.
Built to order
Three to four weeks at the works for anything not already on the showroom floor.
